Can I just say that it is really annoying that you find all these treasures on eBay Germany, whereas here in the UK there is nothing?
eBay does not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages, except for certain sales of collectable containers. Further, non-UK members may not conduct alcohol sales with any eBay member residing in the United Kingdom.
eBay say this is because 'the sale of certain alcoholic products is prohibited by law, regulated, or may cause harm to eBay or its members'. How it would cause harm to eBay I am not sure though. Anyway, there you have it.
So basically, I can get beer and vodka on special promotion round the corner, but no aged Riesling via the internet. I feel much safer already.
